NFL offseason preview: Atlanta Falcons

The Atlanta Falcons were a big disappointment this year. They have so weapons on offense and defense and they finished with an 7-9 record.

The Falcons made a great move by firing both offensive coordinator Steve Sarkisian and defensive coordinator Marquand Manuel. These two coaches somehow under achieve with the talent they had.

The Falcons went on to hire former Tampa Bay Buccaneers Head Coach Dirk Koetter as their offensive coordinator. Head Coach Dan Quin said he will take the role as defensive coordinator while being the Head Coach this offseason.

The Falcons need help with defensive tackle, defensive end, cornerback and guard.

Atlanta will have only 28 million to spend this free agency. I see them only address the defense this offseason, because their offense is fine they were able to score at least 24 points with Sarkisian who mess up that offense.

I see the Falcons going after Aaron Lynch, and Muhammad Wilkerson for the defensive line. For linebacker I can see Nate Palmer signing with Atlanta because he brings depth which is where they struggled the most.

For the secondary I can see Atlanta targeting Sam Shields and Justin Coleman. I do not see any big splashes for the Falcons because it is hard to make a splash when you only have 28 million to play with.

For the draft I see them getting the best player on the board.

1st: Rashan Gary DE 2nd: Benny Snell Jr. RB, 3rd: Jalen Jenkins DE, 4th: Deionte Thompson S, 5th: Myles Gaskin RB.

I see the falcons addressing the defensive line because they had problems getting to the quarteback , plus they might lose runningback Coleman so I think they will look for a running back to lean on if DeVonta Freeman can not return before the season starts.
