NFL offseason preview: Pittsburgh Steelers

Wow all I can say about the Pittsburgh Steelers is wow. This team had one of it’s worst if not the worst year in franchise history.

This team the year before won their division and lost in the AFC divisional round. This was a very talented team coming into this past year in the NFL.

NFL: Pittsburgh Steelers at New Orleans Saints

The fall of the Steelers when the front office and running back Le’Veon Bell could not come to agreement on a contract extension, which  left the Steelers to franchise tag him the whole year.

That distraction of Bell was around the Steelers locker room the whole year. They would have to answer questions like “if Bell was here would you guys have won the game?” Then we had the video of his teammates taking his stuff from his locker.

Then the team would lose games that are right in their grasp for the win. They lost so many close games this year and especially in the near end of season they lost games in where they should have won.

Then the news came out about Antonio “AB” Brown or as “Mr. Big Chest” as what he likes to be called now. The News came out that their was so many distractions he caused in the locker room because of quarterback Ben Rosthlisberger.

The Steelers are going into this offseason losing Antonio Brown and Le’Veon Bell. The Steelers need help at wide receiver, running back, cornerback, defensive lineman.

Pittsburgh will only have 18 million to spend and will have over 20 million in dead money when they trade Antonio Brown.

I do not see them signing big free agent, because they do not have a lot of money and after this year I think they will stay away from star  players for a while.

The draft is where they will make big additions.

1st: DeAndre Baker CB, 2nd:Justice Hill RB, 3rd: Isaiah Buggs DT, 4th: Antoine Wesley WR.

Pittsburgh needs a fresh start and I do believe they are going to get that this offseason.

The only thing we are all going to question at the end of the offseason is the guys replacing Bell and Brown.

Both running back James Conner and wide receiver Juju Smith-Schuster are good players but will they be as good as Bell and Brown.

If they are not as good the Steelers look even worse in the drama with both Bell and Brown. Because they will be known as the team that got rid of two great in their prime.
