AL MVP: Alex Bregman 3B, Houston Astros

Last year was Bregman break out year. He batted .286 with 31 home runs and 103 RBI’s. Lets not forget how great of defensive player he is one the field. Bregman can have an even better year now if the rest of Houston Astros can stay healthy imagine the Astros with a healthy Jose Altuve, Alex Bregman, Carlos Correa and George Springer.

With all those bats in the lineup Bregman could take advantage of it and put it monster numbers that we have not seen in a while.

NL MVP: Nolan Arenado 3B, Colorado Rookies

Nolan Arenado over the past couple of years has been in the Top-5 for MVP voting but has never won it. I get that he plays in Coors Field which helps a lot hitters put better numbers because of the altitude. But we all know what Arenado will do, he will bat over .300 with close to 40 home runs and over 110 RBI’s with great defense. Plus win a gold glove.

Arenado has been doing these types of number since 2015 and he still has not won an MVP. I do believe the voters will come around and give him the MVP becaus ehe will do the same thing again this year.

AL CY Young: Gerrit Cole, Houston Astros

I know Gerrit Cole will have a great season this year because this is his contract year and this offseason he will mostly be the top staring pitcher going into free agency next offseason. Cole is guy who go 7 innings almost every night allowing 1 or 2 runs a game.

Last year we saw that when Cole has help form his lineup he can control a game like a few pitcher in baseball where they will just dominate the whole game.

NL CY Young: Aaron Nola, Philadelphia Phillies

I do believe that Aaron Nola is a top 5 pitcher in baseball and he is only 25 years old. This guy was insane last year. Any other year he would have won the CY Young but he lost it New York Mets pitcher Jacob DeGrom who had incredible year with an era under 2.

Nola has the experience of playing a full year which help a lot. He has great curveball and electric fastball that will blow hitters away. This man will win the CY Young.

AL Rookie of the Year: Vladimir Guerrero Jr. 3B, Toronto Blue Jays

Vlad Guerrero Jr. is probably the most talked about prospect in the past 2 years. Everyone knows he can crush a baseball like his father who is a Hall of Famer. I do think his bat will win him this title because he is a great hitter who can locate the baseball and smack it any where around the park.

He has shown it in all of his at bats which will help help the Blue Jays a lot for the future of the franchise.

NL Rookie of the Year: Peter Alonso 1B, New York Mets

I have Peter Alonso winning this award because he has shown in spring training that he can hit for power and some contact. With all the additions the Mets made to their lineup I think it will help the development of Alonso as a hitter because he will be around one best hitters in baseball Robinson Cano.

Also pitchers will focus more on other players in the lineup like Cano, Jed Lowrie and more which will give Alonso more pitches to hit. I do believe that he will bat his way to the rookie of the year.
