NBA Playoffs Predictions

The NBA Playoffs are here, for the first time since the 2004-05 season we can say the playoffs will feature NBA Superstar LeBron James.

It is going to be weird not seeing LeBron James but the playoffs might have the same outcome it is had over the past 2 years. There is only a handful of teams that can take on the Warriors.

Here are my predictions:

Western Conference:

No.1 Golden State Warriors vs No.8 Los Angeles Clippers

Winner: Golden State Warriors in 5 games

The Warriors should not have problem in this series because the Clippers are not ready yet to contend with the Warriors yet. They are still a Superstar away from ebing real contenders and in the playoffs Klay Thompson will shoot the lights out in any game.

No.2 Denver Nuggets vs No.7 San Antonio Spurs

Winner: Denver Nuggets in 4 games

I had no problem with picking the Nuggets in 4 games because they play a much better  an all around game than the Spurs. The Spurs are a solid team but they are so inconsistent as a team I do think they will stand a chance against the Nuggets.

No.3 Portland Trailblazers vs No.6 Oklahoma City Thunder

Winner: Oklahoma City Thunder in 6 games

Do not get me wrong I like the Portland Trailblazers but they have a habitat of losing early in the playoffs. For the past 3 years the Trailblazers have had great regular seasons but bad postseasons. I like the Thunder more because they now they can compete with anyone including the Warriors. I do think the Thunder will win because they will have a mindset that if they get a chance to play the Warriors that they can win.

No.4 Houston Rockets vs no.5 Utah Jazz

Winner: Houston Rockets in 6 games

I do think the Rockets will win this series but it will be harder than last year because they are not the same team they were last year. They struggle on defense in the worst moments, and they have blown a lot leads this year that should not have happened. The main reason why I have them winning is because the Jazz good but they are as good as the Rockets. Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell can take on the Rockets duo of Chris Paul and James Harden.

Eastern Conference

No.1 Milwaukee Bucks vs No.8 Detroit Pistons

Milwaukee Bucks in 5 games

I like this match-up a lot because these are two teams the live and die in the paint so I expect to see old school basketball in this series. The Bucks are going to win this series becuase of their athleticism as a team they can run up and down the floor as a faster rate than the Pistons which will be the difference maker in all games.

No.2 Toronto Raptors vs No.7 Orlando Magic

Toronto Raptors in 4 games

This was not hard predict at all Toronto is to good of team for the Orlando Magic to handle. The Raptors play great defense, score all around the court, and chemistry. This is the time for the Raptors to win the East because they should they can compete with the defending Champions the Golden State Warriors.

No.3 Philadelphia 76ers vs No.6 Brooklyn Nets

Philadelphia 76ers in 6 games

This match-up was going to be my pick for best series because these are two up and coming teams. I’m picking the 76ers because of last year, they have the experience of being in the playoffs which will be huge for them in this series. Plus I like their core way more than Brooklyn core because it is really only D’Angelo Russell vs the 76ers big 3 of Ben Simmons, Joel Embiid, and Jimmy Butler.

No.4 Boston Celtics vs No.5 Indiana Pacers

Boston Celtics in 7 games

This will hands down be the series to watch out of all the first round match-ups. The Celtics have shown they can be a team that is either going to let you down or prove why they are the team that will take down the Warriors. The Pacers will give them a run for their money because they have great chemistry, which is hard to be beat in the playoffs. The biggest advantage the Celtics have is Kyrie Irving, when its playoff time Kyrie shows up which will be big for the Celtics.
