In Game 2 of the 2019 NBA Finals the man who saved the Golden State Warriors was Andre Iguodala, not Curry. Why is that? Because Steph is not the guy you want to take the last shot.
After the game Curry said it was “disrespectful” of the Raptors to leave Andre Igoudala wide open. Your wrong Curry the Raptors were to STUPID to give you to much respect knowing that you have missed almost every last shot.
Curry has this habit of choking in big moments. That is why Warriors Head Coach Steve Kerr makes plays for other guys to take the last shot instead of Curry. They could drawn a play for Curry to be wide open near the end of game but they didn’t.
Yes Steph Curry is one of the best if not the best shooter off all time. But He is not the guy you want taking the last shot. Even his head coach Steve Kerr knows Curry should not take the last shot because he will choke.
Look at past 3 NBA Finals before 2019. In 2016 he was taking the last shot and all he did was miss them. Especially in the biggest game look at game 7, he made shots early in the game then made nothing at the end of the game.
In the 2017 and 2018 Finals Kevin Durant took the last shot not Curry. Curry told Kevin to take the last shot because he is to scared to take the last shot in close games because he knows he was going to miss them.
Even in the regular season I have not seen Curry take that many last shots. I either see Klay Thompson or Kevin Durant taking the last shot because they make them. They have Ice Water in their veins, Curry does not. If you need someone to make a shot in the last second of a big game it should not be Curry.
