NFC North Predictions

The NFC North might be one of the best divisions in all of football. The Chicago Bears, Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings and the Detroit Lions. Three teams have a realistic chance of winning the NFC North division title.

This division even has some of the biggest questions coming into the season. Are the Chicago Bears really a contender? Can Aaron Rodgers still lead the Packers to the playoffs? Is Kirk Cousins really the answer for the Vikings?

All of these questions will be answered this year. Here are my predictions for the NFC North. (These predictions are based on roster each team currently has right now and if no injuries happen).

Minnesota Vikings: 12-4

I do think the Vikings will bounce back this year and win this division. They beefed up the offensive line a bit to help Kirk Cousins and the running game. They added Irv Smith Jr. to their offense. Plus the defense stayed the same, so the chemistry is still their. The Vikings might not look as dangerous as the Bears on paper. But they have a team can make a deep run in the playoffs.

Their schedule might not look easy but I do believe they can surprise some people this year with big wins in certain weeks.

Chicago Bears: 10-6

Man that Bears defense is scary, but can the offense score points consistently. I don’t know. The Bears offense is the main reason why I don’t have the Bears winning the division. I need to see quarterback Mitch Trubisky take the next step, I need to see if David Montgomery can live up to hype he is getting.

The Bears are a team with a lot of hype this year. Some people even have them winning the Super Bowl. I need to see if they really do have the team to win it all.

Green Bay Packers: 9-7

The Green Bay Packers are a coming into this year as a brand new team. New coach, new offense and a bad offensive line. The Packers have a nice team. But, are they really good enough to beat the Bears or the Vikings? I don’t think so.

Yes, the Packers have Aaron Rodgers but how long can that offensive line protect him. The Packers offensive line needs to prove to all of us that they are legit. Because I did not see the Packers front office make any additions to help the offensive line.

When you are in a division with two of the most feared defensive lines in all of football; you need to protect your quarterback in order to win.

Detroit Lions: 3-13

Man I hate doing this to Lions fans but I have to. The Lions are not going to be a good team this year.

Look at their schedule, the have a really tough schedule from start to finish. They start off the year against the Los Angeles Chargers and end the year against the Green Bay Packers.

I do think they will be competitive in most of the games but I do not think they enough on offense and defense in order to have a winning record this year.
